I was thinking that it would be fun to share 8 Great Living Rooms and detail why because it may inspire some of your own decorating ideas over the weekend. Please note that in each of the photos below I’ve actually listed what about each of these looks I love since in some cases, the entire room itself isn’t one I would copy piece-by-piece but there are certain elements about it that I like. Listen to designer Jean-michel Bonnemoy and he’ll have you believe traditional camera form factors were dictated by the need to hold a roll of film in the back. The D-CAN concept significantly reduces volume while still providing all the finite controls professional photographers are used to. Hit the jump for the “specs”

This handmade backdrop used at a wedding I found over at Green Wedding Shoes made my heart positively leap. This is stunning. I don’t know how it was made, I thought at first cupcake wrappers but I don’t see any ruffled edges so perhaps something else… Either way, I love it and here is the link to the site where I found it in case you want to research more… I’d normally do that for you but today I’m in a rush and cannot. Stunning Wall Decoration

I spotted Amy Borrell’s work on Pinterest thanks to lovely Leslie who pins gorgeous things to her boards – you should totally follow her ! I find so many pretty things from Leslie, she has a really great eye… I’m using Pinterest under decor8 , I just pinned a bunch of delightful edibles to my Yummy Things folder that you may like (to eat). I’m not a Pinterest addict yet though, but that could change very soon as I begin traveling over the next four weeks. When I’m on the road I have a bit more leisure time than I do in the office to be a pin-natic. :) But I digress… The point of this post is to spotlight the lovely illustrative work of Amy Borrell . If you like what you see above, Amy has an online shop so you can own many of these as prints.

Drawing inspiration from Brasa, we have here an exceptionally slim and innovative rear light for cycles. The design optimizes the use of Light Line Technology (LLT), where the technique and optics clearly offset the single string of lights from the rest of the body, giving the impression that a red line is floating in the air. An easily accessible switch and simple battery removal, make it very practical and efficient light. As the designer explains, “The LLT uses one LED only and the extra-wide shape of its light guide allows a great visibility on both corners, offering more visibility and safety for the user and other road users
